Tour News - Pluto return for one night only, marking 20 years of a classic - Saturday 8th November
Presented by 5 Moon Entertainment
Pluto will return to Auckland’s Double Whammy on November 8th for a special one-night performance of their landmark album Pipeline Under the Ocean in its entirety. The show celebrates the 20th anniversary of the beloved record, which is also being reissued on deluxe double vinyl — featuring remastered audio and five previously unreleased tracks from the band’s archive.
Opening the night will be rising Aotearoa artist Arahi, bringing his dynamic blend of soulful rock and storytelling as the evening’s special guest.
Originally released in 2005, 'Pipeline Under the Ocean' followed Pluto’s acclaimed debut album 'Redlight Syndrome' and marked a bold leap in the band’s creative evolution. The album went double Platinum in New Zealand, driven by unforgettable singles like ‘Dance Stamina’, ‘Long White Cross’, ‘Radio Crimes, and ‘Perfectly Evil’. The breakout track ‘Long White Cross’ earned Pluto Single of the Year at the 2006 NZ Music Awards, further cementing the record’s legacy.
Critically praised and widely adored, Pipeline Under the Ocean helped define a generation of New Zealand rock—and set the stage for Pluto’s enduring influence.
