Fresh off the announcement of their forthcoming third album Dungeon Vision, Aotearoa’s heavy-psych duo Earth Tongue return home this February for a run of six album release shows across the country. The tour comes off the back of the band’s 58 international shows and gives fans the earliest chance to hear brand-new material.
The first show lands on the day of Dungeon Vision’s release, playing at the Turner Centre, Kerikeri on Friday 13th February. They’ll follow that up at Auckland’s Double Whammy on Saturday 14th February and then Last Place, Hamilton on Sunday 15th February. The duo then travel south for a run in Dunedin at Pearl Diver on Thursday 19th February, Space Academy in Christchurch on Friday 20th February before heading to Wellington on Saturday 21st February to finish the tour at the iconic San Fran.
Now based in Berlin, guitarist Gussie Larkin and drummer Ezra Simons wrote Dungeon Vision after a busy summer touring schedule throughout Europe and the UK. The pair headed to Los Angeles to record with garage-rock icon Ty Segall, a collaboration that came about after the band supported him on tour in New Zealand and Europe. With anticipation building after unveiling their towering title track ‘Dungeon Vision’ and its handcrafted, cinematic music video - Earth Tongue edge fans toward a set of shows which bring a fully realised Dungeon Vision experience.
The pair were awarded “Best Group” at this year's Aotearoa Music Awards, cementing their spot as one of our most electrifying psych-rock acts. With their world-building aesthetic and relentless energy, Earth Tongue are sure to provide an unforgettable show - celebrating the release of their most visionary record to date. Don’t miss them playing in Aotearoa this February.
