Tour News - Mokomokai to join Home Brew Coroglen Tavern show in January - 28th November 2025
Presented by Live Nation
Special guest Mokomokai has been announced to join Home Brew when they take to the stage at the iconic Coroglen Tavern, for one night only, on Sunday 4th January 2026.
Mokomokai is one of Aotearoa’s most enigmatic underground hip hop acts to come out in recent years.
Known for their unique blend of sounds drawing from 70s soul, gritty drum loops, and confident often playful lyricism. They are recognized for their raw, deliberate and authentic sound, which has been described as both a "masterclass in local hip-hop" and a "bold statement: raw, refined, and wholly original".
Produced by Dusty & Ghos with lyrics fronted by Manu Walters, their featured tracks reach far & wide with guests including Mā, Troy Kingi ‘aka The Hongi Slicker’, Lukan Raisey, Melodownz & Brandn Shiraz.
With three acclaimed releases under their belt, the trio have earned award nominations, international attention, and a dedicated fan base.
Their latest album “PONO” dropped on vinyl in October 2025, marking a new chapter in their evolution. Following the success of “Whakarehu”— which earned a 2025 Aotearoa Music Award nomination for standout single “Kupe”— “PONO” showcases a refined yet raw sonic palette that’s as fearless as it is original.

Home Brew are one of Aotearoa’s most beloved hip-hop groups, rising to equal parts greatness and infamy through their extensive run of EPs through the early 2010s and culminating in their now-classic #1 self-titled debut. The band re-entered the charts with their brand-new album Run It Back in 2023, securing them a raft of new fans.
Their aggressively DIY ethos has endeared them to many in the New Zealand Hip-Hop music scene, and they have cemented their place in history as one of the country's most authentic, uncompromising acts.
Don’t miss Home Brew and Mokomokai at Coroglen this summer.
