Music-centric club Impala Bar to open in Auckland
/
Auckland Central finally has a global standard night club with the opening of Impala, set to revolutionise nightlife in the heart of the city.
Located in the basement of the Southern Insurance Building on Shortland Street and opening to the public on June 3rd, the space is a much needed music-centric, entertainment focused bar. Taking over the space formerly known as CODE, the team have spent the last six months, restoring the original layout and upgrading and renovating every other aspect of the club to create the best possible new space for Auckland’s nightlife culture.
Capitalising on the inherent strengths of the space to recreate some of the old magic, Impala has revitalised the iconic location, particularly in terms of creating the perfect venue for music, with no compromises made when it comes to sound quality.
Impala is the brainchild of long serving international event promoters Red Rum Touring, comprised of Daniel Farley and Reuben Rivers Smith, designed to ensure that events will be seamless for promoters and punters alike. Creating Impala has been a passion project for Farley, who got his first real taste of clubbing in this very space, and went on to gain his first residency as a DJ and hosted a number of events in the club.
Incomparable to any other local bar or club, Impala has the sound, look, and feel of a world class venue for people passionate about music and nightlife culture to experience in the central city. With a focus on creating the perfect late-night vibe, the all-new venue is set to become the jewel in Auckland’s club scene crown.
