Wow. Wow, just W.O.W!! What an incredible night it was! SELENA GOMEZ EVERYONE, graced, our lives at Auckland’s Vector Arena, to bring us her REVIVAL TOUR! I just can’t get over how amazing this woman was!

From visual effects to wardrobe changes, she was absolutely on point. If you follow her on snapchat, you would know that she uploaded a snap of her explaining she had strep throat and that she will be doing her absolute best to complete her shows. Trust me when I say, you could not even tell she was sick, her voices was still undoubtedly flawless.

With the opening act DNCE jumping on stage and hyping the entire crowd, everyone knew they were in for a performance. DNCE, which includes drummer, Jack Lawless, bass player, Cole Whittle, guitar, JinJoo Lee and front man Joe Jonas, were the perfect act to pop up before Selena herself. They completely stole the crowd and if you weren’t a fan before, you definitely left one. Their entrance along was epic, as the GOT theme song played, they smashed out onto stage and blasted the audience with one of their tracks from their EP, with singles like 'Toothbrush' and 'Cake By The Ocean' the crowd took in all the hype and energy that the band was protecting. They had a mini Prince tribute too, and some awesome covers of TLC’s 'No Scrubs' and Drake’s 'Hold On, We’re Going Home'.

The energy was ready to be lit again, as the fans all waited patiently for Selena to enter the stage. Visual effects were at its peak too, as her visual board and lighting team left nothing out and supplied the show with spectacular footage and powerful music behind each picture on the screen. It sort of felt like a timeline of show, and also a mini movie, each clip flowing into the next song. The visual story that was part of the show was used in between songs, so Gomez and her dancers, who were FLIPPEN AWESOME, could do a quick wardrobe change and prepare for the next song.

The whole show maintained at a peak at no time did I feel like her performance has a dull moment or a quiet, even when she sang a snippet of her worship song, her aura radiated throughout the entire arena as everyone was just so much in awe of her presence. Even her dance moves were fire, you can definitely tell she’s got some Spanish in here, cause the way certain words rolled off her tongue and just her body rolls in general, yup she’s got some rhythm in her.

Her album, which the tour is named after, has a lot of upbeat and dance tracks to get the party started, with songs such as 'The Rhythm and Me' and 'Me And My Girls' the stage props were some of the coolest I’ve seen, with 'Day Of The Dead' as the theme for both the stage dropped down with two huge inflatable red roses that sat at either end of the stage, and songs like 'Hands To Myself' and 'Survivors' the lighting crew brought it home and made sure the crowd got an experience. She even hit us with a little epic throwback 'Sweet Dreams' by Eurythmics, and nailed it!

I’ve been to a lot of shows, but daaaaamn, the jumping and screaming at this show was seriously some of the best. The entire arena vibrated when the crowd jumped in sync with each other and I’m pretty sure my ears are still ringing from all the screams!

I’ve followed Selena for a while now, and she’s come to be the humble princess in this industry, from her sweet and gentle nature to her associations to anti-bullying campaigns, she is truly a great role model for young girls, which you could see by all the mums and dads at the show with their daughters. She has a way of making her fans feel so independent and empowered with her words, which she showed again tonight as she humbly thanked us all for coming out and continuing to support her. She spoke about her past troubles and how that was the reason she couldn’t get to us sooner, as she need to work on herself. We are happy that she is healthy and at a good place, because if we get performances like that the next time, I’ll be happy! 10/10 girl!

Selena is finished with her Asia, Australia and New Zealand length of her tour and now makes her way to Europe to continue the greatness! Have fun Europe, you’re in for a damn treat!
