Tango La Luna performed live at the She Restaurant in Governers Bay, Christchurch on Friday, 7 August.Jennine Bailey joined them on vocals. With Christchurch music legend Wytze Hoekstra leading the group it was always going to be a professional performance.

They played 18 pieces plus encore, ranging from the melancholy to the boisterous, all fluently performed. From what I have heard elsewhere, it is easy to make these sometimes awkward arrangements sound dreadful, but this group shows perfect understanding and all the music was very accessible and enjoyable.

The only weak point was a whistling part, but Jennine warned that it would be.
