Her client roster includes Tash Sultana, Middle Kids, Vulfpeck, Walk the Moon, Cold War Kids, Local Natives, Dr. Dog, Sylvan Esso, FIDLAR and others. She prides herself in Artist-development and a personal approach to the booking process.

Jackie was kind enough to answer a few questions before heading to NZ next month.

What five songs would best depict the soundtrack to your day, today?

1. No Surprises / Radiohead

2. Someone Great / LCD Soundsystem

3 .I’m Afraid of Americans / David Bowie / NIN

4. If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out / Cat Stevens

5. Like a Dream/ Francis and The Lights

What is your favourite music-associated movie, and why?

I have two: 8 mile. I love Eminem and he is a really good actor!

What Happened Miss Simone - I have always been a huge fan of hers and knew very little of her backstory. This movie showed her so candidly and beautifully.

What is the craziest music industry experience you have had?

NDA

Do you have an amazing social media story pertaining to your business, either good or bad?

Agent vs Promoter on Instagram. It was discovered recently that my co worker was the "agent" behind this hilarious and genius account.

What is the best social media campaign you have run?

I do not run the social media for my band FIDLAR, but they utilise some very creative ways to kick off tours. They wrote a song/ made a video for each city on their last tour.

What are your favourite music videos?

Once In A Lifetime / Talking Heads

Chandelier / SIA

Gloria / Patti Smith  - OUTSTANDING, raw live performance.

Express Yourself / NWA

40 oz On Repeat / FIDLAR ( its all the best 90’s videos in ONE video!)

Have you ever been to New Zealand? If no, what are you expecting? If yes, what was the best part?

No I have not. Looking forward to meeting some amazing people and seeing some beautiful scenery.

What New Zealand bands are you listening to?

The Naked and Famous

What is your favourite long-haul airplane activity?

Hopefully sleeping.

What one song represents New Zealand, to you?

I don’t have one, I’ve never been here before! I did love Split Enz back in the day… so i’ll go with: One Step Ahead

Flat white, long black or fluffy?

Flat white

If you could pick ONE band you are working with, what would be your pitch to New Zealanders?

Cigarettes After Sex. A band that has been a band for 8 years…and is now an overnight worldwide, internet sensation. Their sound is so contrary to what's popular today, so it’s outstanding how popular they are. Gives me faith that not everyone is waiting for the “drop” Their songs are romantic and dreamy and is fantastic when played on repeat.
