“The most elaborate, high-tech arena show Elton has ever attempted...A parade of mega-hits and one hell of a way to say goodbye” – Rolling Stone USA
The farewell tour to end all farewell tours - Sir Elton John adds three New Zealand shows to his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour and an extra Australian gig. The tour started in the USA during 2018 and will run through until February 2020. Using that time wisely, Elton’s itinerary comprises more than 300 shows across five continents, with at least one show in each. If the tour name didn’t give it away, this is the last tour of its kind for the revered songwriter and iconic showman.
On stage with him for his Farewell tour are long-standing band members Nigel Olsson on drums, Davey Johnstone on guitar, Ray Cooper on percussion, Matt Bissonette on bass, John Mahon on percussion, and Kim Bullard on keyboards. Olsson has a close history with Elton, being a part of his original 3-piece band in 1970, as does Johnstone, esteemed musical director, having recorded with Elton back in ‘71.
Already heralded as a “reflective and stunning tribute to a great artist’s career” by NME, those lucky enough to be in the audience will be treated to a rare personal glimpse into Elton’s head and the meaning behind some of his greatest hits. The stories are told cinematically, theatrically, via hypnotic never-before-seen images and videos from his incredible half a century long career, while Elton delivers an intimate performance. With his new wardrobe designed by Gucci and a brand new stage production, Elton's Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour is spectacular and daring in contrast. Sell-out shows from the North American leg of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour has received rave reviews and been marked as an incomparable memory to last a lifetime.
Tickets for most shows go on sale Thursday 14 February 2019, aka Valentines Day, and the rest on Friday 15 February 2019. This worldwide curtain call will likely be the last chance to see Elton John in the southern hemisphere so make sure to snatch up those tickets.
“I’m ecstatic and humbled to continue to play for audiences across the globe. I plan to bring to my final tour the passion and creativity that has entertained my fans for decades...It’s the most produced and fantastic show I’ve ever done. I want to go out with a bang...” – Elton John

All Rise is described as “—a proper revival suggesting the existence of a higher power in the land than commerce, one that will cause you to pop, lock and rejoice! Come on down and hear the good news that will make you go jingle-jangle in your juice box”
Offerman's role as Ron Swanson in Parks and Recreation, earned him a Television Critics Association Award in the US for Individual Achievement in Comedy. He is also a two-time nominee for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. His first major television role since the end of Parks and Recreation was Karl Weathers in the acclaimed series Fargo, for which he also received a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Movie/Miniseries.
As a writer, Offerman has published four books (All New York Times Bestsellers): The Greatest Love Story Ever Told (with his legendary bride Megan Mullally) (2018), Paddle Your Own Canoe: One Man's Fundamentals for Delicious Living (2013), Gumption: Relighting the Torch of Freedom with America's Gutsiest Troublemakers (2015), and Good Clean Fun: Misadventures in Sawdust at Offerman Woodshop (2016).
While having earned massive recognition for his work on-screen, Offerman also thrives on stage in front of a live audience. His solo show Full Bush was critically acclaimed when he brought it to Australia three years ago.
Offerman will open the national tour of All Rise in Adelaide, 2 June 2019, before travelling around the country.
