Rage Rage
Led by Black Grace Founding Artistic Director Neil Ieremia (ONZM), Rage Rage is a full-throttle response to the chaos of our times. 11 emerging dancers are joined by Black Grace permanent dancers to push their limits across an explosive hour of movement. Infused with physical theatre from Strictly Brown founders Leki Jackson-Bourke and Saale Ilaua, this is dance that doesn’t hold back — raw, urgent, and unapologetically real.
The performance area has been designed to let the dancers fully unleash their power. You choose how to experience Rage Rage; sit and take it all in, or stand and enjoy the energy.
As Black Grace celebrates their 30th Anniversary in 2025 Company B is Black Grace’s platform for bold new voices and big ideas, and Rage Rage is its fiercest statement yet.
The Black Grace permanent dancers are; Demi-Jo Sefo, Rodney Tyrell and Faith Schuster. Joining them are 2024 returning Company B dancers; Deija Vukona, Azael Setu Uini-Faiva, Paige Downard and Caleb Sagala.
2025’s Company B new recruits are; Justice Kalolo, Rila Shibasaki, Jakob Kremer, Lily Bourne, Zoe White, Siana Vagana and Irā Tāhana.
Company B Rage Rage is produced by Black Grace and supported by Performing Arts Partner Auckland Live a division of Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, Auckland Council and One Foundation.
