Comedy News - Aussie’s foul-mouthed prophet Daniel Muggleton announces debut New Zealand Tour
Presented by: A-List Entertainment
Winner: Comedy Weekly Award - Perth Fringe World (2023)
Winner: Critic’s Choice Award - Perth Fringe World (2023)
“Hello, I’m Daniel Muggleton, I’m THE guy. I just wanted to let you know that unlike previous years [in Australia] there’s a chance this show is about something.
If I had to choose a word to describe what that is I’d say ‘family’ but remember, the Fast & Furious franchise is also about family so there’s an equal chance this show I’m about to introduce you to is about street racing or about me finally becoming a father. If not, I promise it’ll be a fresh hour of race, politics and d!*ks that my Aussie fans have grown accustomed to. Cheers.”
Daniel’s unique combination of bracing social commentary and lightning-fast crowd work have made him one of the most in-demand live acts in Australia. Following the release of his televised special ‘White & Wrong’ (Channel Seven AU) and an extended national headline tour of Australia with his critically acclaimed show ‘Blinded by the Whites’, Daniel returns to the comedy festival circuit in 2025 with a brand new show about family (or street racing) – ‘You May Be White, I May Be Crazy’.
Now Daniel will perform his debut tour of New Zealand with a series of headline shows in Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland this June/July, tickets are on sale today @danielmuggleton.com.au
Daniel Muggleton is an Australian comedian in a red tracksuit. His debut stand-up special ‘Let’s Never Hang Out’ aired on the ABC network (AU) and is now streaming on Amazon Prime, and his latest special ‘White and Wrong’ was broadcast by Channel Seven in Australia in 2024. His stand-up albums ‘Let Me Finish’ and ‘Unprecedented’ (produced by Comedy Dynamics) are streaming worldwide.
Daniel’s shows frequently sell-out at comedy festivals around the world and have earned him numerous five-star reviews and industry awards, including the Weekly Best Comedy and Critic’s Choice Awards at 2023 Fringe World Perth. Daniel has been hand-picked to support Jim Jefferies, Steve Hofstetter and Ismo on tour, and clips of his jokes frequently go viral on social media, having amassed over 30 million views to date.
On television, Daniel has made appearances on Australian media The Feed (SBS) and The Checkout (ABC) and featured on Triple M and ABC Radio. He is also a host of cult-hit podcast Flog Cabin alongside Tom Witcombe & Andrew Hamilton… and for anyone who has made it this far: he owns 15 tracksuits currently, 8 of them red.
