EMP Pathways launches fundraiser to tackle gaming addiction via music programs + announces charity gig in Adelaide

EMP Pathways, a new not for profit organisation creating entertainment industry opportunities for the youth of Adelaide, is pleased to announce it will be hosting a Metal Fundraiser at The Gov on Sunday, August 11. All proceeds will go towards programs supporting Adelaide’s youth to increase life skills, career pathways and actively engage with each other and the community through music and gaming.
The lineup features many of Adelaide's most acclaimed bands, including headliners
Terminal Zero alongside Shatter Brain, Parkway Drive cover band Darkway Prive, As I Destruct, Alium and Favour The Brave. All the bands are donating their time for the cause.

The Metal community in Adelaide is made up of incredibly compassionate and open-minded people and insanely talented bands. What better place to start?”
With the help of the community, we plan to open a venue where young people can come in to socialise in a safe environment and participate in specialised programs that have been specifically developed to assist them to gain valuable life skills while having fun with each other and learning the ins and outs of both industries.
Further to this, EMP Pathways have announced a crowd funding campaign to help tackle the very real problem of 'Gaming Disorder' Something the World Health Organisation have included in their latest update of the International Classification of Diseases.
EMP's mission is to reduce the risk of online gaming addiction in young people through fully supported programs and connections to healthy social networks and professional Music and Gaming industry pathways.
Beginning with the development of their own ‘Musician Seeking Band’ Advert and ending with a promotional live performance, EMP Pathways Jam Den Subscribers will be fully supported by qualified Support Workers and mentored by industry leaders each step of the way as they learn all about the music industry and discover everything that goes into being in a successful band during the forty week program.
EMP Pathways Members and their guardians will be fully supported by Youth Workers and guided by industry experts who will be on hand to provide the most relevant information on the risks and benefits of becoming apart of the music and digital worlds.
