The Teskey Brothers announce return to NZ
/Australian soul-blues band, The Teskey Brothers, are returning to New Zealand for a three-date tour.
The four-piece from Melbourne will play San Fran in Wellington on Thursday, October 4; Winnie Bagoes in Christchurch on Friday, October 5; and the Mercury Theatre in Auckland on Saturday, October 6.
After a sold-out headline tour of New Zealand earlier this year, The Teskey Brothers - consisting of siblings Sam and Josh Teskey and their friends Brendon Love and Liam Gough - have established themselves as firm favourites on this side of the Tasman.
The tour will mark with the release of their new single ‘I Get Up’. It means Kiwi fans will be among the first in the world to hear new music from the exciting quartet, whose unique blend of raw soul and blues has been catching the attention of music lovers around the globe.
Hailing from Victoria’s Yarra Valley, The Teskey Brothers independently produced, recorded and released their debut album HALF MILE HARVEST in 2017 to critical acclaim.
The album saw The Teskey Brothers notch up an impressive list of achievements, from hitting #2 on the AUS iTunes chart and selling more than 20,000 albums, to playing sold out shows in New Zealand and Australia, touring the US and the UK and performing at festivals such as Fuji Rock in Japan. Their independent success also led to global record deals with Decca Records (UK/Europe), Ivy League/Mushroom (Aus/NZ) and US indie label Glassnote Records (rest of the world). The band will re-release HALF MILE HARVEST worldwide in October this year, adding two extra tracks, including the aforementioned new single ‘I Get Up’.
