CULT SHOW: The Revitalisation of the New Zealand Women's Archives at Basement theatre

Wannabe bad girls Saraid Cameron and Amelia Reynolds return to Basement Theatre with Cult Show: The Revitalisation of the New Zealand Women’s Archives on May 29th to June 2nd. The title of the show is a mouthful but not as much as the world-burning, history-repeating content. 

Saraid is living in a bunker in the Waitaker- let’s start that again.

Amelia and Saraid have written a play about Saraid living in an underground bunker in the Waitakere Ranges, but before they start they would love to share the story of the New Zealand Women’s Archives with you.  Ideally, you’ll contribute too.

A community meeting turned bloody backlash with the women of Aotearoa you have almost definitely never heard about.  Written and performed by long-term collaborators Saraid Cameron and Amelia Reynolds with actor Sam Snedden, with Kate Prior as dramaturge and directed by multi-award winning theatre genius Nisha Madhan.

This is a work that looks at tote-bag feminism with venom. If you liked That Bloody Woman, you’re probably going to hate this show. Take notice.
