Blue Mountains Music Festival 2018 line-up announced
/The 23rd Blue Mountains Music Festival of Folk Roots and Blues (BMMF) returns on March 16, 17 and 18 with an amazing line-up including multiple ARIA Award winning singer songwriter Missy Higgins making her first appearance and the multi talented Kate Miller-Heidke making a very welcome return, with more artist announcements coming soon.
Melbourne singer-songwriter Lior will also be returning in duo format with the internationally renowned musician Paul Grabowsky. Adding to that classical flavour are guitar legends, The Grigoryan Brothers, who are teaming up with multi-instrumentalist Adam Page. Also gracing our stages will be Australian legend Archie Roach and his band as well as Sydney’s The Backsliders who are making a long awaited return.
Heading up the 17 international acts are Harry Manx (Can), Steve Poltz (Can), While & Matthews (UK) and Braebach (Scot). Also adding a distinctive Bluegrass flavour for 2018 are Peter Rowan Band (US),Nashville’s 10 String Symphony, Flats and Sharps (UK) and Brothers Comatose (US).
As always there will be three days of great music on seven stages totalling over a hundred concerts, as well as the usual songwriters’ and instrumental circles, Heartland Conversations and roaming performers.
