The Echo Ohs to open for Cate Le Bon in Auckland
/Auckland based 3 piece, The Echo Ohs have been announced to open for Cate Le Bon’s show at The Tuning Fork on Saturday 1 October.
Trashy, sparing and lateral The Echo Ohs, made up of Yolanda Fagan (vocals/bass), Guy Fork (guitar) and Emlyn Williams (drums), are a band playing primitive spaghetti-psych, goose stepping through desert surf and spooky death-folk beats.
The anywhere, anytime attitude has had the group working tirelessly in and around the local music scene since they formed in 2011. 2015 saw them opening for the Thurston Moore Band at The Tuning Fork and they kicked off 2016 playing the Worn Out Stage at Chronophonium and the Lavender Lounge at Woodcock Festival.
The Echo Ohs have been busy whipping their songs into shape to record a full-length album due for release on 1:12 Records in early 2017. Psych-garage track “You Don’t Mind’ was released in August 2016 and went straight to number one on the 95bFM top ten in the first week of its release.
Don’t miss the queen of Welsh psych-folk, Cate Le Bon’s one New Zealand show with very special guests, The Echo Ohs.
