Jody Direen nominated for three CMC Music Awards

Wanaka-based singer/songwriter Jody Direen is looking forward to an exciting 2016 after having just been nominated for three Foxtel CMC Music Awards in Australia.

In addition to being up for the New Oz Artist of the Year, the same award that she was nominated for in 2015, Jody is also in the running in two new categories: Female Oz Artist and OZ Artist of the Year. Jody is the only Kiwi artist to be included at this year's awards.

Jody adds these latest nominations to a list of amazing recent achievements, including winning Female Artist of the Year at the Country Music Awards NZ and Top Female Vocalist at the Variety Artist Club Awards.

The CMC Music Awards will be held on March 10th in Brisbane and winners are chosen by public voting. Jody Direen fans can vote every day via her website www.jodydireen.com. Voting closes on Feb 28th.

Jody will take to the stage at the CMC Rocks QLD Festival on 12th March performing alongside American Country music stars Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, and Kelsey Bellarini amongst other International and Australian talent on offer at Australasia's biggest international country and roots festival.

As if there wasn't accolades aplenty, her upcoming performance in 2016 makes Jody the only artist to be invited to perform at CMC Rocks for three years in a row.

Continuing to make waves across the Tasman, Jody's latest single 'Together' peaked at #9 on the FOXTEL CMC Chart and remained Top 10 for 2 consecutive weeks. ‘Together' also made the Top 10 for two weeks running in the Official Australian National AirPlay Artist chart.

After a hugely successful release of her sophomore album ‘Jody Direen Breaks Out' in 2015, Jody has been writing her third album in between performing a host of sell out shows both at home and in Australia.
