Electric Coastline & Clash Of The Titans touring this summer
/In one month’s time, two of summer’s hottest tours will kick off, playing to thousands of excited holidaymakers across New Zealand.
The summer tours have traditionally taken place at the Riwaka Hotel in Riwaka, in the Nelson region. The hot spot is a favourite with South Islanders and Wellingtonians and every year it hosts some of the biggest acts in Kiwi music.
Due to the Riwaka Hotel no longer being available for the summer gigs, this year Eccles Entertainment in association with Muchmore Music is pleased to present for the very first time, shows at an exciting new location - the Riwaka Rugby Club grounds, Cooks Reserve. Riwaka is only 1km from the Riwaka Hotel, and located even closer to the beach, situated just off Main Road.
“The Riwaka Rugby Club grounds is our newest venue for the summer tours and I know all of the acts are looking forward to playing there,” says promoter Brent Eccles.
Electric Coastline, featuring three of the most exciting names in music right now – Broods, Kings and Theia – begins at the Riwaka Rugby Club grounds, Cooks Reserve in Riwaka on Tuesday, December 27.
Headlining is Nelson's very own Broods, brother and sister act Georgia and Caleb Nott, who will return home from their base in LA and from touring with Two Door Cinema Clubto play their first gig on home turf since early 2015. Broods recently won 5 awards at the VNZMAs, including the People’s Choice Award and Album of the Year.
Clash of the Titans, featuring Kiwi legends and party favourites - Dragon, Mi-Sex and the Feelers – starts at McEwan Park in Petone on Wednesday, December 28, before crossing the Cook Strait to the Riwaka Rugby Club grounds, Cooks Reserve in Riwaka on Thursday December 29.
Both Electric Coastline and Clash of the Titans will play in popular holiday destinations across New Zealand, including iconic venues like Coroglen on the Coromandel and Mangawhai Tavern, north of Auckland.
