Villette shares music video 'Not In Love'

First track off my upcoming EP. Thanks NZ On Air!

Following on from Villette’s highly anticipated single release, the video for Not In Love has now been released.

The video was shot in Villette’s hometown of South Auckland and it features local businesses that hold a special place for her as the playground for the story to unfold.

The video tells the tale of a girl being stuck in a Groundhog Day cycle. Travelling the same route to the local dairy meeting the same people in different circumstances every time she makes the journey. All the people she encounters are in love with her and she can’t shake the cycle until the end of the story where she finally takes control and conquers the day!

The video was not only shot by but also starred students, free lancers and interns which Villette says it was an amazing learning experience for everyone involved.

“I chose to work with people I loved and looked up to – especially Felix Vaunois, the director of the video. He believed in me when I didn’t have any money to shoot a music video and he produced and directed my first ever video ‘Stronger’. Now with the help of NZ On Air we were able to fund this one. Everyone on set was someone I admired and I think that’s really special.”
