New Music Radar: Jump, RAZÉ

Award-winning New Zealand artist RAZÉ has just dropped her new single Jump, a groovy and melodic tune, which shines a light on her powerful and sultry vocals and unique blend of soul and RnB.

With a mix of 70s pop and funk, intertwined with a contemporary vibe, the EDY-produced Jump is the perfect summer tune. The song is also heavily loaded with empowering messages about taking chances in life.

“It brings colour to a black and white world, where you take a trip to Wonderland and come back feeling refreshed, happy and ready to leap into something amazing,” explains RAZÉ.

Jump follows the release of Not About You earlier this year, which has since clocked more than 65,000 streams on Spotify. Together the songs give fans a taste of what’s still to come on RAZÉ’s new EP set for release in early 2020.

It’s just the latest step in an already exciting year for RAZÉ who shone at this year’s Pacific Music Awards, winning Best Pacific Female Artist and Best Soul and RnB Artist.

RAZÉ—whose real name is Ezra Williams—has grown up in a world immersed in music. As the younger sister of some of New Zealand’s most celebrated entertainers Lavina, Emily and J Williams, she is no stranger to the stage or to the airwaves, with regular love from leading New Zealand stations such as Mai FM, Niu and Flava.
