Minimal Silence release debut single 'House Of Flies'

After storming home to victory at the 2018 SmokefreerockquestMinimal Silence have today released their debut single, ‘House of Flies’.

The Auckland punk trio - Logan Anderson (vocals/bass), Sabastian Munro (guitar) and Mark Tohovaka (drums) - won the annual Smokefree Rockquest competition in September. It was the band’s third time competing in the prestigious event, and this year they won the judges over with their post grunge, punk/hard rock sound.

“Winning the Smokefreerockquest was something we've worked for over the last three years and when we heard our names called out, it really solidified that following our passion and aspiring to be great musicians is the right thing for us to be pushing for,” says guitarist Sabastian Munro.

Now, the three lads from Howick are following up the win with their debut track ‘House of Flies’, which they wrote themselves and was produced by Six60’s Chris Mac. The result is a modern-day rock anthem, fast-paced and edgy with a contagious energy throughout the tune.

“House of Flies is about trying to fight through depression and the everyday things that put you down. And then realising that what you’ve needed to conquer depression, has been around you the whole time,” says Munro.

Minimal Silence – ‘House of Flies’ is at radio now and available from SPOTIFY and iTunes
