Gang Of Youths release new EP 'Let Me Be Clear'

After the success of their UK, European and USA tour, Gang of Youths rocked the crowds of Splendour In The Grass in Byron Bay. The Sydney boys followed up their set at Splendour with the release of their highly-anticipated EP, Let Me Be Clear. The 6-track EP was released via the band’s own label imprint Mosy Recordings via Sony Music.

Off the back of ‘Strange Diseases’, the band release their new single ‘Native Tongue’, which premiered on triple j.  The new EP, co-produced by long-time friend Karl Cashwell, tempers abrasive and energetic guitars with symphonic and orchestral bombast. Singer David Leau’pepe says “It’s a collection of songs tied closely to the themes and narrative of 'The Positions', serving as a bookend of sorts to my early 20’s, and the final chapter of the part of my life I spent in love with someone fighting cancer”.

The new EP follows on from the success of their 2014 five-ARIA-Award-nominated debut album The Positions. The band hopes to achieve admirable and genuine things with this new release, as said by Leau’pepe, “I want to make the most hopeful, life-affirming music possible. We want listeners to feel affirmed, to feel hopeful, and feel more. That’s the most important thing we want to accomplish”.

Gang of Youths’ Splendour in the Grass featured debut tracks from Let Me Be Clear as well as crowd favourites from The Positions. Fans and critics alike are raving about their performance.

The band plan to spend the rest of 2016 overseas working towards their next release.
