Mt.Eden release new single 'Fall With You'

At one point or another, we've all been quite familiar with Mt.Eden. Whether it was when Sierra Leone was the biggest Dubstep song on YouTube, or last year when they released a slew of successful singles such as Stronger or Distance Kills. Not to mention smashing through clubs around the world for the past 6 years while playing main stages at EDC, Electric Forest, and Lollapalooza.

Mt.Eden is most definitely a legacy act in any bass lovers heart and dance music fans mind. Throughout the times, Mt.Eden has always innovated within the bass scene with their melodic and almost cinematic signature – managing to strike a balance between modern electronic soundscapes and classical orchestration. The result always conjuring up evocative experiences that are as warm as they are wild.

This time it’s no different. Really diving deep into their inner musician, they have brought a well constructed, genre-bending single with the indie inspired vocals of Albi & The Wolves.
From beginning to end in this 3 and a half-minute musical journey, you will be nothing short of impressed and intrigued. Mt.Eden has expanded on their love of melodic music and drawn from influences that seem to be across the board, from Odesza to Flume, to The Lumineers.

Previously known for producing drum and bass and dubstep, the last few years have seen Mt.Eden produce house music, hip-hop, trap and even progressing into working on a few film scores. These experiences have spawned new ideas and different techniques; resulting in the orchestral and vocal elements combined with big, brassy choruses evident in their new single, 'Fall With You'. While it still incorporates drum and bass elements, it cleverly weaves in great folk instrumentation, thanks to their friends Albi & The Wolves.

After crossing paths with old school friend Matt, the banjo player in Albi & The Wolves, the catch up quickly turned from talking music to creating music together. The result? A multi-genre track that is seamlessly produced, with a beautiful edge to it – to which Jesse credits the addition of the brass section in the chorus “because it kinda punches you in the face softly without breaking your teeth, followed by an internal ear cleansing”. What better way to put it, we couldn’t agree more!

Whether seen as a bass single or an indie song, it is clear that Mt.Eden has truly broken through to a whole new realm with "Fall With You".
