Wellington psych-rock trio The Nudge share new single 'Dark Arts' & announce NZ tour

Wellington band The Nudge have built themselves a solid reputation based on their phenomenal live shows. Combining elements of psychedelic rock, soulful blues, and hypnotic rhythms the genre crossing band keep any dance floor pulsing long into the night. Five years since their last album, The Nudge triumphantly return with a new single ‘Dark Arts’ set for release on November 18th.

This first single taken from a forthcoming album is a slow building, psychedelic and hypnotic track which starts off with a primal beat and slowly builds into a dark and dangerous cocktail of intoxicating alchemy.

The Nudge debuted with the confident, blues driven Big Nudge Pie in 2010; a record steeped in the raw emotion of 60s Northern Soul, and Sunset Strip psychedelia. Over that time the band have all performed as part of Fly My Pretties (and in numerous other bands), four Nudge offspring have been born, the band has collaborated with world renowned composer John Psathas, and played countless club gigs and festival shows, most recently supporting Fat Freddy’s Drop on an epic NZ tour. All of this has helped to conjure up the new album ‘Dark Arts', set for release early 2017.
