Libel Music was one of New Zealand’s first online ‘Independent Music Mags/Blogs’ dedicated to audio-culture music, theatre, art & the entertainment industry founded in August 2005.
Keeping teams small, resources are always on the smell of an oily rag, & toothpicks best used to keep eyes open - we have a genuine passion for the local music scene & music lovers.
On the website, you’ll find years of happenings, live reviews, interviews, local gig-photographs to coverage of some of the biggest concerts that've rocked the country, & gig-promotions etc... all from a very small bunch of us who simply love, live & breathe the live & recorded music/gig scene. I cannot begin to express the magnitude of effort that’s gone into this ‘Content’ (as it's referred to these days).
Operating as a Collaborative, Libel Music has always had A no 'BS' with a 'No question is A bad Question' approach, we give our small core team room for individuality & career growth potential. We’re an independent publication. Our Ethos, lean to quality, from the people we have in our team to those we engage & affiliate with. Our editors are experienced in actual proven practice and years, we are proud of what's now being produced, standing out bold, and being loud quietly in a noisy world, We have writers that write, photographers that photo yadda yadda…we continue to keep our team small for a reason. we curate our music listening lists, and weight time into preserving NZ’s precious music history.

Unlike favoured corporate entities, we will not block access to the publication & archives unless we cannot remain online, our hope is to always remain online &/or keep this 'content' free to access.
