PHOTOGRAPHER- Libel Music NZ/ AUS Delivery Specs

Please familiarise yourself & contact megs prior to your shoot if you don’t understand any of these specs.
Remember, each spec is in place for a reason. Using these easy delivery specs, you’re putting your best foot forward, maintaining quality publishing standards, & ensuring correct information for archival purposes. Nb. our preference is QUALITY OVER QUANTITY with smaller striking galleries over a huge never-ending gallery of samey shots. Publishing of images is at editors’ discretion and all decisions not to publish an image is final.
As per the Terms & Conditions, Libel Music NZ/AUS will never infringe/ claim nor take your copyrights & does our best to protect your imagery online, however we cannot always protect everything. Please ensure you have exported your files with your copyright metadata correctly written into each file.
Use the following guidelines for delivery of all imagery. Please pay special attention to the Size/Resolution/& Naming Conventions (Remember every process is put in place for a reason).
DELIVERY:
· Please deliver images by uploading to your unique folder in Dropbox.
· Nb. If you haven’t received a link to/or added your Libel Drop-off-folder in dropbox or are having any issues; please email Megs Moss PRIOR to your assignment. (The Folders are intended as delivery drop-point to Libel Music only – not personal storage, any personal files will be deleted).
FOLDER NAMING:
· As a Subfolder in your dropbox folder with the following naming convention per Artist/ Band (1 folder per band / separate supports from headline etc…)
· YYYY-MM-DD(Event Date)-Band Name-Venue -City-Photos (Your Name)
· Example of a FOLDER NAME 2024-05-29-JackWhite-Powerstation-AKL-Photos Sue Doe
FILE NAMING:
· Please ensure when delivering images, they are clearly separated into separate sub-folders (Under the Specific Event folder as per above) Ensure each image is clearly named. These specs ensure searchability, your name is clearly associated on the file & is lodged in the asset library & archive. Please follow these naming conventions.
· YYYY-MM-DD-Artist/band-City-Photographer-File Number/or Sequence
· Example of FILE NAME 2024-05-29-JackWhite-Akl-PhotoSueDoe-01
IMAGE FORMAT:
· JPG Only - Our Website has very specific coding please do not deliver anything but JPG files
· Please ensure files are >(less than) 2mb per file (If you don’t know what this means, or need help please talk to megs)
WEBSITE -IMAGE SIZE: Please ensure your images are to Libel specifications for the website
· •2880PX MINIMUM (Long Edge)
· •300PPI MINIMUM not DPI
· Please resize images to >2mb (LESS THAN 2 MB) MAX
· Never enlarge a cropped frame to meet requirements (If you do not understand bi-cubic ratios/cropping ratios please discuss with Megs Moss)
· Note we have coded our website to prevent Right-click saves and downloads to protect your images to the best of our abilities.
· It remains photographers’ sole responsibility to ensure their Metadata in each file includes your sole copyright / usage rights etc... (If you do not understand metadata, please Email Megs Moss)
· Libel Website has a Copyright Notice under all Galleries warning to help protect your imagery to the best of our abilities.
SOCIAL MEDIA IMAGES: Please deliver a copy in a sub folder of social media sized images of each Artist/Band
· •850PX (Long Edge)
· •196PPI (Minimum)
· Please resize images to 2mb or less
· Never enlarge a cropped frame to meet requirements.
· Please ensure a full duplicate set of website images are also delivered for social media into a sub-folder called ‘Band Name-Social Media Files’ )
· Libel Music will ensure proper tagged credit on their social media accounts.
· Libel Music will not upload high-res imagery to social media
CROPS/CROP RATIOS: Please stick to industry standard digital crop ratios or ‘As shot’ ratio,
· NO Custom ratios please. If you do not know what this means, please Email Megs Moss.
QUALITY & GALLERY NUMBERS: Please scrutinise imagery & put your very best foot forward before delivery. We do give the freedom for you to find your style, however, please ensure 80% of imagery is LANDSCAPE and there is a good mix of wide and close shots included. if there is good light available, ensure 85% of gallery is colour (remember this is media, not an art delivery). Try to ensure your shots are not ‘samey’ from one shot to the next, this ensures your gallery stands out & is interesting.
· Headline Act - 15-25 Single Frame Images MAXIMUM
· Support Bands - 10 Single Frame Images
· FESTIVALS - Max 10 per Band
WATERMARKS: Allowed with limitations
· Preference is for a low opacity text-based Watermark (these are also less likely to be cropped off).
· Please ensure Watermarks /logos are no more than 30% Opacity
· Watermarks/ logos must be discreet
· Watermarks /logos can be on lower Left / Mid / Right
· Watermarks/logos must be as small as possible please (No huge block over imagery)
FRAMES & EFFECTS: Please no framing or frame effects like 3Up / foreground shot over blurred background etc... If you do not know what this means, please talk to Megs.
