Tourettes announces new poetry book / album 'Feel Like Shit, Looking Great'

Taking a few years off to write a novel and try not to die of chronic illness, Dominic Hoey aka Tourettes is back with a new album/book, Feel Like Shit, Looking Great!

A collaboration with musical wunderkind, Abraham Kunin, the project is a mix of poetry, stories and the odd rap, over Abraham’s brilliant and often haunting compositions.

Taking its influence from hip hop, punk and that noise your hear as you drift off to sleep, the music is a perfect bed for Dominic’s ramblings.

Presented in the form of a lyric book, designed by delinquent polymath Roy Irwin, Feel Like Shit, Looking Great!, documents Dominic’s journey through the health system, searching for meaning in a neo liberal theme park and the quiet madness and beauty of the New Zealand countryside.

Each book comes with a download code so you can listen in stereo as the world collapses around your ears.

From Friday 23rd September the book / album will be available from all Tourettes shows,
Auckland stores: Marbecks, Real Groovy Records, Time Out Bookstore,
Wellington; Layers Laundrette & Emporium & Death Ray Records
Dunedin; Relics Records
The audio will be available from: iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify
