MAALA’s upcoming show at The Studio this Saturday 18 November just got even bigger.
Returning to the stage to celebrate latest single, ‘Crazy,’ already on the airwaves and set to be one of the jams of the summer, MAALA announces the line up for this show has just been extended to add some of the most exciting new flavours in New Zealand music.
Joining Auckland rapper Abdul Kay, who has already been handpicked by David Dallas as the one to watch on Auckland's hip-hop scene, are two high energy acts - electro-poppers Openside and euphoric pop-maestro Jon Lemmon.
Openside burst back onto the scene with single ‘I Feel Nothing’, an infectious masterclass in radiant pop that has fast become a radio smash, sitting comfortably in the NZ top 20 for over six weeks and featuring on countless Spotify playlists.
Meanwhile, Jon Lemmon’s new track ‘It’s Gonna Be Alright’ is already lighting up the George FM playlist, garnering over 100,000 streams in its first week and a spot at number 3 on the NZ Viral Spotify charts.
