ACCLAIM FOR TEEN JESUS AND THE JEAN TEASERS:

“one of Australia’s most exciting acts” - The Guardian

"equal parts charm and chaos, carving out a lane that’s as confident as it is cutting.” - Rolling Stone

"a raucous ode to bar-top mischief and reckless abandon... the track cranks up their signature grunge-punk energy with widescreen indie-rock flair." - Happy Mag

"Their latest track feels like a collage of everything we love about TJ&TJT—from the brattish verses to the gloomy undertones in the chorus, and an energy that you know will be cranked to 11 when it’s performed live."
Life Without Andy

“Teen Jesus show no signs of slowing down” - Somersault

ARIA Award-winning indie-rock band Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers today drop their “slutty, drivey” new track ‘BATH WATER’ and announce GLORY deluxe (April 24 via Community Music), an extended version of their critically acclaimed sophomore album GLORY featuring two new songs - ‘BATH WATER’ and ‘GO WASTE MY TIME’ - and stripped back reworks of four fan favourite tracks ‘TALKING’, ‘DAYLIGHT’, ‘MINE’ and ‘WONDERFUL’.

Pre-save GLORY deluxe HERE

‘BATH WATER’ is released off the back of Teen Jesus’ celebrated Laneway Festival run in Australia - which saw the band pack out their stages at each stop (along with a very special marriage proposal in Melbourne) - and ahead of their AUNZ GLORY album tour this May on which they play their biggest venues to date and a string of all-ages shows with local support from IVY in Aotearoa – Christchurch (May 21st), Auckland (May 22nd) and Wellington (May 23rd).

On ‘BATH WATER’, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers share, “BATH WATER is a slutty, drivey, fun song about coming home from a night out. It's about when you leave a bar and are actually really excited to hang out by yourself and enjoy your own company, in a Ke$ha way though. Also - special shoutout to the R4 reference in verse 2 which is the bus that goes from Canberra CBD all the way back to Kambah xxxx”

Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers also announce North American tour dates this Oct / Nov, playing headline shows down the East Coast, Warped Tour in Florida, and two very special shows with Jimmy Eat World on their highly anticipated Bleed American 25th Anniversary Tour. These dates follow their return to the UK and Europe this August for their sold out headline show in London with a second now on sale, Victorious Festival in Portsmouth and Openair Gampel in Switzerland.

Produced by 3x GRAMMY Award-winning, London-based Catherine Marks (boygenius’ THE RECORD, Wolf Alice), GLORY is an exploration of confidence, disgust, infatuation and power set against widescreen indie-rock you can strut to, and earmarked Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers embracing a new, messy era. It debuted at #9 on the ARIA Albums and #2 on the ARIA Australian Albums Charts, with lead single ‘BALCONY’ landing at #61 on this year’s Hottest 100 and the album being awarded Feature Album on triple j among further support from BBC Radio 1, The Needle Drop, KEXP, SiriusXM, The Guardian (Headline Act), 10 Magazine Australia, Rolling Stone, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Sydney Morning Herald, frankie, Ones To Watch and Billboard, plus becoming one of Spotify’s RADAR artists with billboards in Melbourne, London, Seoul and New York, and cover placements on their major playlists, including All New RockMarrowRock Out, and New Music Friday in multiple countries.

Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers - Anna Ryan (they/she; vocals/guitar), Scarlett McKahey (she/her; guitar/vocals), Jaida Stephenson (she/her; bass) and Neve van Boxsel (she/her; drums) - have gone from strength to strength since the release of their debut EP PRETTY GOOD FOR A GIRL BAND (2022). Their debut album I LOVE YOU (2023) debuted at #6 on the ARIA Charts, placed at #52 on the Hottest 100 (‘I Used To Be Fun’), with its deluxe I LOVE YOU TOO following in 2024.

Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers have since raked in a slew of accolades including nominations and wins at the ARIA Awards, J Awards, APRA Awards, Rolling Stone Awards, AIR Awards and Music ACT Awards. Now based across Ngunnawal/Canberra, and Naarm/Melbourne, they are just as concerned about issues facing today’s women, non-binary people and young people everywhere as they are with making music that continues to push boundaries and expectations. Teen Jesus are ambassadors for Green Music’s No Music on a Dead Planet, played Rising Tide on Parliament House steps, contributed to the Parliament inquiry into challenges and opportunities within the Australian live music industry and are firm supporters of Michael’s Rule. This is a band never to be pigeonholed, and definitely never underestimated.
