Country rocker CORY MARKS (@corymarksmusic) is continuing to forge his own lane with a sound that fearlessly fuses country grit with a hard rock edge. “’Hangman’ is a gritty, hard-hitting rock anthem about defiance in the face of judgment,” says CORY MARKS. “Doing it your way knowing you’ll have the ‘gate keepers’ turning their heads, because it isn’t their seed planted or their own plan. CORY was so musically inspired by his recent European tour earlier this year, that he decided to release a brand-new song on April 25, a musical rallying cry called “Are You With Me?” It was released as a double-single on digital outlets HERE along with “Lit Up” from SORRY FOR NOTHING that can be streamed HERE. New lyric videos were also released, for “Are You With Me?” HERE and “Lit Up” HERE.
With over 373 million global streams to date, CORY has been captivating fans across the country and rock spectrum. Unafraid to stand out and stay true to himself, his third album SORRY FOR NOTHING is an unapologetic double-barreled blast of 13 songs produced by longtime collaborator Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, Shania Twain, Papa Roach), plus Kile Odell (Nita Strauss, David Draiman), and Andrew Baylis (Jelly Roll, Brantley Gilbert). The songs on SORRY FOR NOTHING — which was released December 6, 2024 via Better Noise Music — range from Haggard-like country and virtual bluegrass to straight-up arena anthems and almost Pantera-like hard metal as well as mashing both styles in a single song. His debut breakout 2019 hit, “Outlaws & Outsiders” (featuring Ivan Moody, Mick Mars, and Travis Tritt) went Top 10 on U.S. rock radio, and it was certified Gold in the U.S. and Platinum in Canada.
In touring news, MARKS will head out with Sevendust this fall on their “Southside Double-Wide Tour” that kicks off November 14 in Columbia, MO. Earlier this year, MARKS made his own headlining jaunt throughout Canada, and he ventured overseas for his debut Europe and U.K. tour. He also toured the U.S. in support of Dorothy as part of their “REDEMPTION” tour, following performances with Toby Keith, Travis Tritt, and Theory Of A Deadman. In recent years, MARKS has shared stages with a blend of artists including Five Finger Death Punch, ZZ Top, and Brantley Gilbert, while also having joined Nickelback on the main stage at the annual Boots and Hearts festival in Toronto in 2023.
