Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders share music video for 'Feel Brand New'
Returning to Bali, where Jack Ladder filmed 'White Flag' the first video from the album, 'Feel Brand New' has a markedly different tone. Where Ladder was once attempting to escape being tied up on a beach blackened in the aftermath of a volcanic eruption, he is now languid and totally at ease in an ocean lagoon, surrounded by similarly carefree people apparently shooting wedding videos…
“Maybe the point”, Ladder says, “is that Iʼm trying to identify the public private moment”. Filmed on a handicam picked up at the airport in an effort to avoid using a smartphone to capture personal moments, he feels that in the end it’s simply him “just singing my song to my lover in front of hundreds of strangers also doing their own performances for the camera.
