Let’s put this experience into context, physical comedy is not my favourite form of entertainment and I hate going to shows by myself.  I feel awkward and alone because for me half the fun is  sharing the experience.  So I was not pleased when my husband told me two hours before WOMANz,  a physical comedy, that he wasn’t going to make it.  I took my seat and braced myself for an hour of feeling self conscious.

Once everyone was seated we waited for Waters to make her entrance.  The lights dimmed and a voice boomed out narrating the age old story of Star and Rock cummming together… *nudge nudge, wink wink*  to form WOMANz.  Waters made her grand appearance and totally bedazzled us.

The show was a powerful combination of bravado, self love and DANCE.  Waters’ stage presents was intense and direct.  There was an initial uncomfortable air as the audience warmed up.  We quickly realised we weren’t going to get away with watching passively. This was a totally immersive and interactive performance.  The more energy Waters’ gave us the more we wanted to give back.  Her persona WOMANz was loud, proud and sexy.  With her exotic accent and seductive moves she was a goddess in our midst, not to mention a mistress of stage craft.

WOMANz was empowering and hilariously energising.  By the end of the show my face hurt from laughing and smiling so much, I totally forgot all about flying solo.  I loved that Waters gave every single person a kiss and a hug as we left.  It’s a really fun show that you should definitely see to let your inhibitions go and just dance.

WOMANz runs from 3-8 May 2016
