Rue Morgue Records Announces Collectable Vinyl Compilation

Announcing the first of an annual compilation release from fledgling Melbourne record label Rue Morgue Records; Murders In The Rue Morgue Vol 1 (Vinyl edition) will feature 12 acts who through the course of 2019 have thus far released limited edition 7" vinyl singles through the label.
Tentatively scheduled for an October 31st release, the album will feature 10-12 Australian artists including *Palace of The King, The Vendettas, Fierce Deity, Dan Brittain, Midnight Alibi, Atomic Riot, to name a few.
The title of the album comes from the classic Iron Maiden song of the same name; also, the sole inspiration when naming the online record store Rue Morgue Records.
Says RMR “The Metal compilation was a big thing in the early 80's with the Metal Massacre series in the USA and Metal for Muthas in the UK; these records brought some incredible acts to the world. Metallica's first appearance for example was on the Metal Massacre series. These records are a chief inspiration for Murders in The Rue Morgue and the label hopes to introduce to the world some of Australia's finest young talent”.
A fresh, collective and ambitious approach from RMR; rather than compiling songs artists have already released in single form; all songs from the various artists featuring on the compilation LP have been written specifically for this recording; stamping this compilation a collectable.
Says RMR “These songs are as rare as they are incredible”.

The album went on pre-sale at the beginning of the month (July 2019) to raise the funds for this project; with the capital raised in just two weeks, development is now ensured.
