Six60 announce Auckland show

It’s more than a year since SIX60 last played in Auckland, concluding their national tour to a sell-out crowd of 10,000 at Villa Maria Estate. Now the band has announced a headline show at Auckland Town Hall on Saturday 1 April.

Singer Matiu Walters says the concert is an opportunity for fans who missed out on seeing SIX60 at Raggamuffin to see the band in Auckland for their final date of the summer concert season.

“We’ve had heaps of requests from fans asking us to do our own concert, and this will be a really special, intimate show. There’ll definitely only be one night.”

SIX60 remains one of New Zealand’s biggest acts on the airwaves, as well as on the charts. Their second album has been in the New Zealand Top 20 for 104 weeks and the band received Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards for the most played and highest selling single for White Lines last year.

The concert offers diehard fans the opportunity to get up close to the band, with the choir stalls to be sold as part of a Special VIP ticket package, which will also include a soundcheck party - that is, if they get tickets quickly enough.
