Tour News - Great Sounds Great Festival returns to Wellington in August 2024

Presented by: Eyegum Music Collective

Eyegum Music Collective presents GREAT SOUNDS GREAT, the one-day multi-venue festival returning to Pōneke's Cuba Street precinct on 31 August 2024. Wellington’s favourite indie festival is back for a third year to showcase some of Aotearoa's best artists performing in six amazing local venues spread around the cultural heart of the city!

The first lineup announcement includes the return of legendary hometown pop rock heroes Fur Patrol, the big band hip-hop multi-instrumental extravaganza that is Raw Collective, propellant kraut-fuelled jams provided by Tāmaki Makaurau’s Half Hexagon, and award winning alt rap party starter Jujulipps, along with a bunch more amazing acts. For the first time, festival goers will also be treated to a programme featuring three of Aotearoa’s finest poets, including everyone’s favourite purveyor of verse and life advice Hera Lindsay Bird.

Join us for the capital’s best party, a joyous celebration of independent music, poetry, and our incredible local venues!

Ticket holders will receive a wristband that will give them access to each of the participating venues throughout the event. Information on how to pick up wristbands will be provided to ticket holders closer to the time.
