Thrash Blind Grind Fest replaces Wellington show with one in Christchurch
THRASH BLAST GRIND TOUR with Phil Anselmo have replaced the scheduled Wellington show with one in Christchurch instead. A message from the promoters at Valhalla Touring read “We apologize for any inconvenience but we are committed to bringing the best acts to your local town.”
The metal festival will see the legendary Philip H. Anselmo And The Illegals making their first New Zealand appearance in over 5 years. Anselmo and the band will cranking out songs from his latest solo albums Walk Through Exits Only and Choosing Mental Illness As A Virtue, as well as plethora of Pantera tracks - the band that Anselmo famously fronted.
Also announced today for the festival are Australia’s King Parrot. The Melbourne grindcore band formed back in 2010 and will be performing songs from their three studio albums Bite Your Head Off, Dead Set and Ugly Produce. The group have just wrapped up a tour of the USA and Ugly Produce was recently nominated for Best Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Album at the ARIA Awards.
