Second line-up for Soundsplash 2019 revealed

With Raglan’s beloved Soundsplash festival close to selling out, a second stellar line-up of acts from far and wide has just been announced.

It includes US rapper Famous Dex; Canadian producer The Babe Rainbow; Canadian breakout act The Funk Hunters and LA-based DJ/Producer Freq Nasty.

Meanwhile, powerhouse Katchafire; the renowned Latinaotearoa collective and Sunshine Sound System are among the local acts just revealed, proving that New Zealand’s now well and truly punching above its weight on the world’s music scene.

Presented by ZM, Soundsplash will take place on Friday, January 18; Saturday, January 19 and Sunday, January 20 at Wainui Reserve - a picturesque spot which is only a stone’s throw from Raglan’s famed surf beaches and coastline.

Soundsplash 2019 will play host to its best line-up yet, with the aforementioned acts joining an exciting array of big hitters spread across the three day festival, from international names such as Sticky Fingers and Macky Gee to some of the freshest Kiwi talent around, including Sachi, Theia, Kings, Louis Baker and Marlin’s Dreaming.

Today’s announcement also confirms Kito, YT, Name UL, Drop Legs, The Shambles, Mako Road, Lost Tribe Aotearoa, Otium, The Butlers and Masaya. See list below for the full line-up.

With its stunning location in Raglan, just 500 metres from the beach; as well as its focus on the environment, community and all ages, Soundsplash is understandably one of New Zealand’s most popular summer festivals. And with only limited tickets now available to the three-day event, music lovers are urged to get in quickly to avoid disappointment.

All acts will play across three stages with top level production. Also notable, is the festival’s ongoing commitment to its Zero Waste policy and in 2019, Soundsplash will proudly be the first-ever accredited "plastic bag free" festival in New Zealand.

There will also be lots of healthy food options, camping with hot showers, and workshops, which offer everything from arts and dance, to nutrition, health, yoga and education around teen suicide, depression and anxiety.
