Soundsplash returning for 2019
Raglan’s renowned Soundsplash Festival is set to return in 2019, with some exciting changes afoot and an epic line-up to be revealed in the coming weeks.
The boutique multi-genre event will be held in the picturesque Wainui Reserve, right on Raglan’s internationally famed coastline, on January 18, 19 and 20.
The 2019 festival is gearing up to be one of next summer’s ‘bucket list’ events and
also sees the expansion of the Soundsplash family, with promoters Pato Entertainment and Audiology coming on board, alongside the event’s long-time organisers, Brian Ruawai and Naomi Tuao.
With a lengthy 14-year history, Soundsplash is one of New Zealand’s pioneer summer music festivals. Over the years it’s played host to acts such as Six60, Drax Project, Shapeshifter, TEEKS, Ocean Alley, Sticky Fingers and The Black Seeds.
Pato Alvarez (Pato Entertainment) and Mitch Lowe (Audiology) are proud to be involved in such an iconic event. “We are stoked to announce the partnership with Brian and Naomi,” says Pato Alvarez. “They have some really cool things in place which give Soundsplash a nice vibe and energy. And we love that they’ve initiated a Zero Waste Policy.”
Pato and Mitch are now are involved with nine Kiwi festivals, including Bay Dreams North Island, Bay Dreams South Island, One Love, Storm The Gates, Soundsplash, Sonorous, Ohakune Mardi Gras, and two more to be announced soon. They also run another 200+ events throughout New Zealand every year.
They are looking forward to working alongside Brian and Naomi to continue to uphold Soundsplash’s impeccable reputation and to introduce some of their own
touches, including even bigger production and a focus on families of all-ages, with R18 licensed areas.
Stand-by for more exciting Soundsplash announcements, including the first line-up on August 1, which promises to deliver a mix of some of the best acts around.
