Beastwars set for Winter tour
Beastwars return this winter for their first New Zealand tour in over 2 years.
The band announced their hiatus after the release of their third album The Death of All Things, but will reunite for 4 shows this July and August following the news that singer Matt Hyde is in remission after being diagnosed with cancer in 2017.
"It's a really nice feeling to be healthy again ," Matt says, "The amount of fans that reached out to me while I was ill was mind blowing. I never thought that there were so many people that our music had touched and connected with. While health is on my side we thought that we should play some shows again. It's crazy that getting sick is the thing that has brought us back together."
With a setlist made up of favourites from their trilogy of albums Beastwars, Blood Becomes Fire, and The Death Of All Things, Beastwars also promise to treat fans to new music as they deliver a tour that celebrates life, good friends and the huge riffs that they are known for.
Obey the Riff. Long Live the Beast.
