Guantanamo Baywatch announce support bands for NZ tour
Wellington surf/garage rock and roll band Tigers Of The Sea will be hitting the road with Portlandian surf rockers Guantanamo Baywatch this October.
Joining the bands at Whammy Bar will be Auckland's sing along party sweethearts Dad Jokes and at Valhalla the esoteric Surf Trash threesome Tape Wolves.
Last year when Guantanamo Baywatch made their debut visit to Australia, they solidified their reputation for loose and wild shows. Their renegade energy and “don’t give a shit” ‘tude left a trail of new and old followers, broken hearts and a mountain of empty beer bottles in their wake. This time the band promise to bring all that plus more to New Zealand on the back of their Australian tour dates.
With a knack for serving up legit surf, while fucking with various sub-genres, the trio of guitarist Jason Powell, bassist Chevelle Wiseman and the happiest drummer we’ve ever seen live, Chris Scott, will unleash their newly inducted second guitarist, Jordan Owens on their fans.
