The festival spans three days with festival gates opening 8am Friday 17 February and the last act finishes at 5pm on the Sunday.
Described by its’ audience as their favourite summer festival, Splore brims with creative content and entertainment including music, performance, visual art, workshops and forums.
Located 70km south east of Auckland and an easy one-hour journey to Tapapakanga Park, the festival presents itself as an epic adventure tucked away in its own piece of paradise.
The festival is family friendly, with family only camping areas and a fully programmed children’s zone.
Saturday night at Splore is arguably New Zealand’s biggest dress up party. It is an opportunity for people to embrace the Splore theme and the festival is transformed by the festival goers themselves becoming works of art. Outrageous creative costumes have become de rigueur on Saturday night at Splore.
Splore has led the pack when it comes to sustainability at festivals. The festival continues to set new bench marks and still remains the only New Zealand festival to win an international Greener Festival Award.
People converge from around the globe to meet at Splore for a three-day opportunity to reunite, party and relax under the hot February sun at a sublime beach-side location.
The Splore experience is so positive, with its chilled and friendly vibe, that people have described it as a life-changing experience where they have emerged from their festival escapade full of renewed optimism and enthusiasm for life.
