The band that's enjoyed huge success over 30 years, with #1 albums, multiple gold and platinum selling albums, Grammy nominations, 4 worldwide #1 hits and over 70 million in sales will perform in Taupo on New Year's Eve then at Luna Estate on 2 January, Queenstown's Waitiri Creek Vineyard on 5 January and finally at Omaka Airfield on 7 January.
UB40's chart hits include Red Red Wine, Cherry Oh Baby, Kingston Town, (I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You, I Got You Babe, One in Ten, Rat in Mi Kitchen, If It Happens Again, Homely Girl...and the list goes on!
They will be joined on tour some of New Zealand's best-loved musicians, Boh Runga, Modern Maori Quartet and L.A.B. (Kora Brothers) as well as up-and coming dub, roots and soul 7-piece, TUNES OF I, who are now added to the South Island dates.
"We are thrilled with the line-up for these concerts," says promoter Jackie Sanders from Jacman Entertainment. "We have a perfect mix of summer sounds to welcome in 2017. Some venues are getting close to sell out as they did last year so don’t delay”
