AC/DC have released a statement concerning their drummer Phil Rudd's arrest for attempting to procure a murder.

Rudd appeared in the Tauranga District Court yesterday (November 6th) where he was charged with attempting to procure a murder, making threats to kill and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis.  The 60 year old was released on bail and is due back in court on November 27th.

The other members of AC/DC this morning released a joint statement explaining how this will affect the release of their forthcoming album 'Rock Or Bust' and an upcoming planned world tour.    

The statement on their Facebook page read "We've only become aware of Phil's arrest as the news was breaking. We have no further comment. Phil's absence will not affect the release of our new album Rock or Bust and upcoming tour next year."

'Rock Or Bust' is due for release in New Zealand on November 28th (the day after Rudd's next court date) with a world tour planned for 2015.  

Rudd released his debut solo album 'Head Job' in August of this year.  In an interview with Libel he said "I couldn't be bloody happier to tell you the truth. I'm so proud of the album, everything I had to do with it. The guys played really well on it, it's just too good."
