Fat Freddy's Drop sell out the Brixton Academy
Fat Freddy's Drop are on a roll, selling out London's esteemed Brixton Academy two weeks ahead of their show in October.
The sold out status for the 5000 capacity venue adds to what is proving to be a massive year for Freddys. The band's Blackbird album release shows have sold out across Australia and New Zealand and the upcoming UK and Europe leg is following suit with German concerts supersizing to bigger venues as well as Brixton selling out due to high demand.
The Brixton show on 5th October is the band's third sell out at London's leading venue.
"Brixton Academy is so big it's like playing in a train station, and for the punters it's the best venue in London. Everyone has an iconic band they saw at Brixton story!"" Hopepa aka Joe Lindsay, Freddy's trombonist and booty shaker said.
After returning from the 19 date in UK & European tour, Fat Freddy's Drop have their sights set on theBlackbird Summer Detour around New Zealand from December through to January.
