New Music & Video Release - Goatzilla release fist pumping new single Black Dog Blues - Jan 2025
Artist Name: Goatzilla
Release Name - Black Dog Blues
Release Date - 24th January 2025
Genre - Heavy Metal, Hard Rock
Gold Coast Rock Beasts, Goatzilla, have released a rock n roll monster as the final single taken from their 2024 debut album.
Full of swagger and attitude, Black Dog Blues is a fist pumping Aussie rock anthem to rival the classics.
“Black Dog Blues” is an angry, riff-driven, bluesy rocker, the story of a life run off the tracks by the demon alcohol. “Everyone I know, knows more than one person who’s lost it all to booze” Says Ben about Goatzilla’s latest single. “This is for everyone who’s tried to help someone who’s gone off the rails - theres the anger at a life wasted, as well as the pain of losing someone you care about to the bottle. It’s a warning, really, and hopefully a reminder that it’s never too late to get help and stop.”
Despite the heavy subject matter, this stomping bar-room brawl of a track's opening riff hits hard and fast and doesn’t take the foot off the gas until the final note. Bens Lemmy-soaked vocals play call-and-response with the twin guitar attack of Beardsley and Janssen. Janssen delivers the obligatory facemelting Goatzilla solo in amazing form, culminating in a truly eardrum-bursting 22nd fret bend and squealing feedback evoking the cry of pain that defines this track as the band drops into half time, before bringing us home with the final chorus. “Heed the warning, feel the music” says Ben. “This one’s from the heart."

Goatzilla emerged from the Gold Coast underground scene in 2015, giving Punk, Thrash and Heavy Metal a cheeky twist on the nipples and making crowds scream for more.
Their Self Titled album is raw and full of energy, direct and straight to the point!
It simply rocks and ROCKS HARD!

Queensland’s masters of Atomic Mutant Goatpunk Goatzilla are screaming into 2025 off the back of their east-coast tour and killer new album “Alien Nation”. “People love the green vinyl!” Says lead Goat Ben. “Its becoming a bit of a collectors item - we only did a limited run and every gig they walk out the door, plus we’re posting off a few each week so we dont know how much longer they’ll last, which is a real good problem to have!”
Streaming services have also proven to be a Goats best friend, expanding their fan base across Australia as well as the US and Germany. “We’d love to tour overseas soon, and as soon as we’ve got the dollars we’ll book the dates” said Ben. Following a massive NYE gig with Brisbane legends Dreamkillers and label mates Ancient Remains, the Goats live show is absolute fire with guitarists Pete Beardsley and Pete Janssen swapping face-melting improv solos throughout the set.
They’re straining at the chain to hit the stage for “Rock Is Not Dead” at Capalaba’s Koala Tavern on Sat Feb 1, with Mick Davies returning to the drum throne. “We’ve got two drummers now - both Mick and Thiago will be taking turns to bash out with us at gigs." The goats are already working up new material for the studio, which we can expect to hear later in 2025.
With their Motorhead-infused riffs and vocals, Goatzilla deliver songs that range from straight down the line rock to quirky punk headbangers, and occasionally delving into darker or downright bizarre territory.
