Cut Off Your Hands share new song and music video for 'On The Sea'
Just in time for your summer playlists, Cut Off Your Hands drop a surprise single ‘On The Sea’. The highly danceable track hints at what fans can expect to hear live at Wondergarden and teases more new music from the band in the new year.
Frontman Nick Johnston says that ‘On The Sea’ draws on the spirit of Larry Levan's early 1980's NYC club remixes.
“‘On the Sea’ loops on an infinity groove, like the ditched desperate lover holding tight to an "idea of us" that is no longer, endlessly waiting, stuck on repeat in a Bad Pattern, sinking.”
“We've all been/are or have known/know that person. It's horrific, we don't have the answers, and other than rhythm and melody we can't offer much, but sometimes that's enough.”
‘On The Sea’ sees Cut Off Your Hands team up with local production whizz-kid Jeremy Toy for the third successive release and features the soulful psycho-spiritual vocals of Elisapeta Heta and Soane Tui of Courtroom Brown.
Cut Off Your Hands return to the live stage for the sunset set at Auckland's best NYE party Wondergarden at Silo Park. Party Party Party --- Cut Off Your Hands will bring an eight piece live band to the show, with a set that gives fans the first chance to previewing songs from the short album due for release early 2019.
