Louis Baker shares new music video 'Addict'
Following last night's packed private screening at the Roxy Cinema in Wellington, Louis Baker today reveals his smoking hot new music video, 'Addict'.
Shot in Brooklyn, New York City by award-winning music video director Shae Sterling, the clip pays homage to an era of iconic 70s and 80s film, combined with a clean modern look, and a suave leather jacket clad Baker.
“Louis and I had an amazing week filming this video. Staying in Brooklyn, we got a feel for the area, and we relived those classic gangster movies from the 80’s,” reflects Stirling
“The video is the perfect visual depiction of what the song sounds like,” Louis says. “I’m driving a 1979 Cadillac Coupe de Ville at 4 am in the morning across Brooklyn Bridge in ‘The City That Never Sleeps’, and I’m making a music video. If someone had told me that I’d be doing this 10 years ago, I would never have believed them.”
Watch the smouldering new video below, as it unfolds under the cover of night around New York's city streets.
'Addict' is the fourth and final instalment of singles/videos to be released by the soulful singer-songwriter over the last 12 months. It follows three singles released in collaboration with Red Bull Music, including the powerful opening opus ('Rainbow'), which is currently on the Top 20 shortlist for the 2017 Silver Scroll award and has generated over 3 million Spotify streams.
The track was co-written with Grammy-nominated songwriter & producer Sacha Skarbek, producer Josh Fountain (LEISURE) and kiwi electro-pop queen, Theia (Em-Haley Walker).
