Aaron Carpenter & The Revelators to release debut album 'Pretty Liess' followed by nationwide tour
After releasing their moody rock single “Pretty Lies” in early July, Aaron Carpenter & The Revelators are set to release their debut album of the same name.
The album is packed with nine tracks of grinding swamp-rock songs that nod to their blues roots while forging a new path with riffing guitars and dark and seductive melodies. Available digitally from August 4th, it draws upon the raw blues energy set by their EP. The songs about burning lust, love and life, inject rock grittiness, brought alive by Aaron’s soulful-yet-edgy vocals. Accompanied by often climatic gospel backing vocals they are served up with a contemporary undercurrent.
The Waiheke Island 5-piece, Aaron Carpenter, Derek Solomon, Lee Carlin, Nikki Ngatai and Miles Gillet, draw inspiration from Aaron’s history with blues music and from his world travels.
They will be celebrating their album release with a nationwide tour beginning at Spark Arena’s Tuning Fork on August the 4th, followed by dates in Wellington and Lyttleton.
