Cleve Cameron shares new single & music video for 'Do' (the thing you love to do)
It's simple; do the thing you love to do. For Cleve Cameron the thing he loves to do is make music.
Cleve recently released his first solo album Welcome to the Primal-Digital - a collection of songs packed with stadium-sized chants, pounding electro-punk bass lines and guitar hooks and featuring the likes of Willa O'Neill, Kieran Scott, Lawrence Arabia, Ed Castelow, and tabla player, Mandeep Singh. The album was first made available to the media and public exclusively in Mandeep’s taxi in Auckland, New Zealand.
Today he shares the lead single 'Do' (the thing you love to do), an unashamedly simple, direct and honest and uplifting song wrapped in a tropical, pacific ska beat.
Says Cameron, "We live in a time where we’re bombarded by information and consumer choice. Finding a sense of joy in life “no matter how much I buy” comes back to doing the simple things you love to do."
The music video, directed by Stephen Langdon and edited by Stewart Reeves brings this idea to life in a humorous and down to earth way. We see Cleve being pummelled by news papers, mobile phones, and shopping items as he attempts to sing the song. Alternately we see people doing the thing they love to do, whether it’s welding, weaving, skating, dancing or doing Tai Chi.
