Chairlift shares music video for 'Crying In Public'

Chairlift has shared the video for 'Crying In Public,' a standout track from their recently released album Moth. Directed by Allie Avital with art direction by Caroline Polachek, the striking visual finds Polachek love struck and contemplative as she makes her way through New York City during a snowfall.

Says Chairlift of the song, "'Crying In Public' was written about a kind of moment familiar to many New Yorkers, where you’re caught up in all these anxieties that seem huge, and then the smallest gesture from someone who loves you can stop you dead in your tracks, all the bullshit falls away, and you’re suddenly humbled by how overwhelmingly beautiful the world is. It’s the closest we have ever come to writing a devotional."

An evolution from their last album, 2012’s Something, Moth proves to be an emotionally uninhibited and markedly stronger, more pop inspired body of work. A very New York City inspired album, listeners can expect to be led through an aural mix of big, rich pop inspired hooks, vibrating bass, lively brass and sensuous R&B inspired vocals, all anchored in the duo’s meticulously crafted instrumentation.
