Julia Deans debuts music video for 'Walking In The Sun'

Filmed at Corban Estate Arts Centre and clad in flowing velvet, Julia cuts a central figure in the video, which allows the dynamic piano, synths, her trademark guitar work, and multi-layered vocals to soar.
Julia teamed with Fish n Clips director Greg Page (P Money, The Datsuns) to create the video, having previously worked together on the video for her APRA Silver Scroll finalist song A New Dialogue.
One of New Zealand’s most iconic performers, Julia’s heartfelt songs have seen her transition to an impressive solo artist after becoming a household nWalking ame as front-person for Fur Patrol.
Julia will be performing Walking In The Sun and other songs from upcoming sophomore solo album, We Light Fire, at The Sherwood in Queenstown on the 28th October. Her first solo show since WOMAD in 2016, tickets are available for the show from Dash Tickets now.
We Light Fire was recorded in the home studio Julia built with partner, sound engineer David Wernham. Both Walking In The Sun and the album tracks have seen Julia turning outward for inspiration, heralding a new moment in her remarkable 25-year career.
